Real Lives: Manoj Raithatha

Manoj Raithatha had it all. A booming property business, a picture-book family, a life to envy. Then his professional and personal worlds were shattered. The 2008 financial crisis devastated his business and a sudden illness threatened his son’s life. His hollow foundations exposed, Manoj found himself utterly dependent on the prayers of others and the help of a previously unknown God. What happened next would forever change his life and the lives of all his family.

Small Groups

As a church we love small groups. In fact we see them as really important. As our church grows it’s hard to know everyone. That’s why joining one of our many small groups is a great way to get to know people better.

We build on four principles:

1. To come together to study the Bible

2. To pray together

3. To enjoy fellowship with each other

4. To care and encourage each other

For further info, or to join a small group, please speak to Peter Mercer on a Sunday.

When Faith Gets Shaken Tour 2018 (Patrick Regan OBE)

The tour is a fantastic opportunity to hear Patrick Regan OBE and singer song-writer Andy Flannagan. Patrick explores themes from his latest book ‘When Faith is Shaken’, and Andy performs some of the songs from his highly successful album: ‘Drowning in the Shallow’.

‘When Faith is Shaken’ book – What do you do when life falls apart and it feels as though God has left you? How do you keep going when your faith has been rocked to the core? We all go through painful times but sometimes things get so hard we’re not sure where God is or what he’s up to.  For Patrick there was pain, illness and loss in his family and community. Then he faced a series of excruciating operations that took him to the brink physically, emotionally and spiritually. Writing during his journey of recovery, Patrick takes an honest look at how we find God in these times of suffering. He wrestles with how we can know God’s peace when life is anything but peaceful, what the true nature of courage is, how we allow ourselves the grace to rest when we’re running on empty, and how we can stay fully present in the moment – all so we can ultimately grasp the love of God at a deeper level.

What others said

“Thanks. Really enjoyed. An evening of challenge and inspiration!” – Ian, Gowerton

“Lament is something we do not do well as church, and to be exposed to an evening where that was possible in a non-cliche way was very liberating. Thank you for your honesty, and your ‘no quick fix’ hope. May that same hope encourage you as you walk the paths you walk, and thank you for taking the risks.”
– A host of the tour 2016 and a church leader, London

“A powerful & really inspiring evening that changed lives and increased people’s faith” – Dave Manager, Streatham

“My husband and I loved it, it was a privilege to be there” – Katrina, Anerley
