Purpose of the Care Team:

To provide pastoral, emotional and practical support for the times when people are in need at CEC.

Care Team elements:

The care team is split into 4 different elements.

1. Visitors.

Members of the team are available to visit people who are housebound, unwell, or in hospital. This will be a mix of one off or a few visits depending on the need and availability of visitors.

2. Drivers.

Drivers are available to provide lifts for people, such as lifts to hospital or the doctors for appointments. Other times when a driver is needed will be by arrangement and the distance will be considered.

3. Practical support.

Members of the team will be available to help with small DIY tasks, gardening, cleaning, washing and ironing etc. This support will not be ongoing, more of a one off when people are in times of need.

4. Budget advice and form filling.

Help in budgeting, insurance areas, accounts and also helping people fill in forms for benefits, grants etc.

Care Team Co-ordinators:

We have Care Team Co-ordinators who will co-ordinate all the different elements of the care team.

Request for Care Team Help:

Contact the church office (023 9226 2188) in the first instance, and we will pass on your request to the Care Team coordinators.

Please note: The care team will seek to help as much as possible, but on some occasions, this may not be possible. It’s not the only care at CEC as lots goes on in small groups and one to one.
